To everyone who says that it’s a parent’s choice to cut off part of their son’s penis – Whose penis is it? Whatever happened to “My body. My choice!”?

I had my penis cut (a so-called “circumcision”) when I was a baby, and it’s taken away my right to choose for the rest of my life. I’m without the 20,000+ nerve endings and the sensual skin and the protection of my glans.

I know circumcision is considered “normal” in the country, but what gave anyone the right to take that choice away from me? To cut off a perfectly healthy, normal, and functional part of MY body.

My parents won’t be using my penis. Their rabbi won’t be using my penis. I don’t even want to practice Judaism. So why should they have the right to cut MY penis.

Let them go cut their own genitals if they feel the need to cut something!

Congratulations Christina. Any woman having a baby boy with a circumcised male should have the little boy circumcised – respect, tradition, cleanliness, health…all of those reasons. I hope your son grows into a very fine human being. That’s the difficult part, and the one we cannot entirely control as time goes by.

Happy circumcision, what a joyous occasion for all who attended. Circumcision is very safe and simple these days and the life time benefits are huge, i know, im a nurse in a nursing home.

I guess you were given anaesthetic for your Caesarean section yet you allowed the mutilation of your son’s penis with none. And then did you allow the Rabbi to suck the blood from the wound with his mouth, as this is ‘tradition’ too? It is disgusting.

You have mutilated your son’s penis in a most brutal and barbaric way. You have ensured his sex life will be far inferior to what it might have been for some imaginary health benefits or tradition which does not even replicate the original very minor circumcision, and you call yourself Christian yet deny the Bible’s criticism of circumcision.
