Christina to make acting debut

Christina Aguilera is set to make her acting debut.

The singer is being lined up to play 50s pin-up Jeanne Carmen in a biopic of her life.

However, Christina faces stiff competition from a host of established Hollywood actresses, including Catherine Zeta-Jones and Scarlett Johansson, to land the role.

Carmen, now 76, was known as the “queen of the B-movies” in the 50s.

The beautiful blonde actress, whose look was similar to screen legend Marilyn Monroe, starred in a host of low-budget films, including ‘Untamed Youth’ and ‘The Three Outlaws’.

Carmen had an intriguing personal life. She was friends with the late Frank Sinatra, legendary rocker Elvis Presley, US President John F. Kennedy and Monroe.
