Christina Looking for Acting Work
Christina Aguilera is set to try her hand at acting.
The singer has revealed she has longed to become an actress for years and will be reading scripts while she is on the road promoting her latest album Back To Basics.
“I’ve been reading scripts for a number of years now and I really am interested in acting as its own art form. While I’m on tour for ‘Back To Basics’ I will be reading scripts.”
While Christina is keen to make it in Hollywood, she wants to find the perfect role before agreeing to make her movie debut. “I’m waiting for the right thing to come along. It’s important it’s the right role” she said.
Christina, who co-directed the video for her new single Candy Man, appears as a blonde, brunette and redhead in the promo.
She admits she was excited about showing off some old fashioned moves with dancers dressed as servicemen.
“There were a lot of servicemen involved, it is like a throwback to World War II era America,” Christina said. “I’m jitterbugging too. It was so fun.”
