It’s congratulations all round in Hollywood as it has been confirmed that both Christina Aguilera and Nicole Richie are pregnant. Fausto Aguilera - Xtina’s estranged father and soon-to-be grandfather - let slip: “I’m so excited. I wish her all the happiness in the world.”

A pal of Christina and husband Jordan Bratman says: “She’s thrilled. She’s been planning this for a while.” Meanwhile Nicole Richie, who could go to prison on drink driving charges when she appears in court next week, is said to be three months pregnant with boyfriend Joel Madden’s baby. It’s been reported the couple will marry this summer before the child is born. Both mothers in waiting refuse to comment on the reports.
