Christina autographs car for charity
Stars for a Cause has teamed up with the Chrysler Group to auction off 6 eco-friendly cars — generously donated by Chrysler, that have been autographed by some of the top names in Hollywood to raise money for the Haiti cause.
Christina Aguilera was selected to personalize and customize one of the cars, which will be auctioned off in San Antonio by Leake Auction Company. Bids can also be placed online or by phone. According to a release, the custom-designed Aguilera Chrysler boasts: “[A] vanilla exterior and cactus interior luxury car. The eco style edition uses recycled materials, such as recycled rubber for the floor mats, bamboo wood interior, 100% recycled metals, and includes a fuel efficiency system that reduces the 8 cylinder engine to 4 cylinders when necessary.”
The singer and actress also signed the car, which will be sold at no reserve on at the second annual Don Kruse-Leake Car Collector Auction on April 10 at 2 p.m. to raise money for victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti. According to Stars for a Cause’s website, “100% of the proceeds will go to Christina Aguilera’s designated charity: ‘The United Nation’s Food Programme, for Haitian Relief.’”
