Christina Aguilera: Super Bowl National Anthem Singer?

Rumors are swirling that the 30-year-old Burlesque actress will sing the national anthem at this year’s Super Bowl. The event will take place February 6 at Cowboys Stadium in Arlington, Texas and will feature a halftime performance by the Black Eyed Peas. Christina previously performed at the halftime show during Super Bowl XXXIV back in 2000. Though various sources are reporting the news, the NFL has not yet made an official announcement. Reps for the league told aceshowbiz.com that they had “no comment” adding, “When we have something to announce, we will announce it.”
