Christina Aguilera introduces her new boyfriend to her son
After filing for divorce from her husband earlier this year, she has been adjusting to life as a single mum. But that might not be for too much longer as Christina Aguilera has introduced her new to man to her son Max, which could suggest things are getting serious for the new couple. The 30-year-old Burlesque star enjoyed a day out with her two favourite boys, her two-year-old son Max and new boyfriend Matthew Rutler. The group enjoyed some quality family time together at The Petersen Automotive Museum yesterday. In fact Matthew and Max seemed to hit it off as the group smiled and joked as they made their way home. Christina ditched her trademark raunchy outfits for a comfortable puffa jacket, a skull and cross print tee, black jeans and studded biker boots, topped off with a black and white peaked cap. She also appeared to have abandoned her characteristic heavy make-up even ditching her signature bright red lipstick, opting instead for a cosmetics-free look. Matthew Rutler wore a black v-necked jumper and jeans and while Christina held Max in her arms, Matthew stuck to carrying a cup of coffee. This year has been a mixture of ups and downs for the blonde singer, who called time on her relationship to husband Jordan Bratman earlier in the year. Christina, who married Bratman in 2005, filed for divorce blaming her first feature film Burlesque for driving the couple apart. And although the singer couple met her current beau on the set of the film, where he worked as her assistant, she insists that they only started dating after she filed for divorce. “Matthew is a special person,” she told People magazine. “We had a really strong friendship on the movie. Once I filed for divorce, we started dating.” Christina also mentioned that she wasn’t ready to rush into anything with Rutler. She said: I’m not trying to jump into anything. I just left a five-year marriage. I’m taking it slow and trying to be happy.’ Rutler travelled around Europe with Christina as she promoted Burlesque and helped to celebrate her 30th birthday earlier this month. The family introductions could be a sign that the seemingly inseparable couple will be taking things more seriously in 2011.
