Christina Aguilera must be feeling ‘Not Myself Tonight’ after reports that Christina is being forced to accept private gigs after poor tickets sales for her North American summer tour!

The ‘official’ reason for her cancelled tour was ‘insufficient rehearsal time’, but insiders are suggesting the real reason was poor ticket and record sales. Her fourth album ‘Bionic’ recently made history in the UK by debuting at number one with the lowest number of copies sold in eight years; it then received the largest weekly decline for a number one album. Her latest single ‘You Lost Me’ has so far failed to make the Billboard top 200.

An insider said: “Christina’s performing at Bar Mitzvahs and weddings. She wanted to charge £1.3 million a time but her hubby Jordan Bratman convinced her to lower it to £157,000 so she’ll get more gigs.”

And, if the whispers are true, rival Lady Gaga is the one copping the blame! The insider added, “Christina thinks fans saying she’s “Gaga lite” has thwarted her success. They’ve slammed her latest image as a poor imitation.

“It’s embarrassing for someone once so successful to resort to this but blaming Gaga’s just crazy!” If that’s the case, then this next tidbit of news will be a real burn for the pint-sized songstress. Billboard magazine estimates that Gaga’s current ‘Monster Ball’ tour will gross nearly $200 million worldwide by the end of the year.

But ever the Lady, GaGa has given the ‘Dirrty’ singer props, saying Christina helped her become a household name in the states!

But it’s not all gloom and doom for Christina. The star is busy promoting her upcoming film ‘Burlesque’, which is due for release later in the year. The movie, which also stars Cher, is already getting rave reviews. We can’t wait to see it!

Music stars Eminem and Christina Aguilera will be a part of “Entourage” when the HBO series airs its season 7 finale. Both Slim Shady and the “Not Myself Tonight” songstress are going to make an appearance on the September episode as themselves, as series creator Doug Ellin told Entertainment Weekly.

Though both of these Grammy winners have been set as the guest stars on the episode described as a “pretty dramatic season finale”, only Christina will be seen performing. Doug disclosed that the 29-year-old pop diva is a client of Jeremy Piven’s Ari Gold. “She’s doing Ari a favor and performing at a party for him,” the creator said.

As for Eminem, Ellin hinted that the rapper will have a conflict with Adrian Grenier’s Vincent Chase. In his own word, the 42-year-old said, “He has a little conflict – a little beef – with Vince.” Eminem has shot his scene which takes place “at a platinum record party for his [Recovery] album, which by the time this airs will be platinum, I’m sure.”

Season 7 finale of “Entourage” will be aired on September 12. In addition to Eminem and Christina, it will also feature Minka Kelly, John Cleese as well as a number of A-list athletes, Super Bowl MVP Drew Brees, Phillies All-Star first baseman Ryan Howard and NBA stars Jordan Farmar and Kevin Love.

Not an achievement that Christina will probably be too happy about!

Christina Aguilera’s new album Bionic has made history in the UK. After debuting in first place on the Official UK Albums Chart last week, Christina’s album dropped an entire twenty-eight places in its second week, the largest drop for any album in British history! Christina’s rival, who she has recently been compared to, Lady Gaga, has her album “The Fame” stay strongly in the UK albums top 10, where she has been placed since January!

Christina Aguilera has revealed plans for a summer tour in support of her forthcoming album, Bionic. The pop star will play the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Saturday, July 31 with special guest Leona Lewis. Tickets, which range in price from $23.75 to $139.50, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Fans who order tickets before June 4 will be treated to a digital copy of the new album the day before it is available in stores.

The album is Aguilera’s fourth studio effort, and her first in four since the 2006? Back to Basics. Produced by Christopher “Tricky” Stewart (Mary J. Blige, Mariah Carey) and Ester Dean (Chris Brown, Rihanna), the new album features collaborations with M.I.A., Peaches, and Sia. “Not Myself Tonight”, the first single off Bionic, was released last month and is streaming on her MySpace. This summer’s tour will kick off at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Connecticut on Thursday, July 15.Every ticket purchased will receive an individual code valid for one download of Bionic. Ticket buyers will receive an email confirmation, followed by a specific code to download the album on June 7, the day before the album is available in stores.

Aguilera will also make her major film debut in Burlesque later this year with co-stars Cher, Stanley Tucci, Kristen Bell and Cam Gigandet.

Most recently, Aguilera was been at the center of a media swarm after her comments regarding Lady Gaga in an issue of Out magazine. She later disclosed a note insisting that some quotes were taken out of context, and applauding Lady Gaga for her success and uniqueness of style.

The 29-year-old singer started dating Jordan Bratman in 2002 and they married in 2005. They have two-year-old son Max together, and publicly gush about how in love they are.

Jordan is turning 33 next month, and Christina is keen to throw him a lavish party to show all their friends and family how much he means to her. The bash will have a burlesque theme, and Christina is even planning an erotic performance to titillate her husband.

“She’s planning a celeb-studded party with a burlesque theme,” an insider told British magazine More! “Christina’s shelling out over £150,000 and will have her own troupe of burlesque dancers to accompany her!”

Despite their happy marriage, Christina and Jordan have no plans to add to their brood any time soon. Christina took so long to get back into shape after giving birth to Max she wants to give her body a break and focus on her new album Bionic.

“I’m not going to have more kids any time soon,” she recently said. “It took me a while to get my body back after having a baby and I want to enjoy this for a while first.”

The first official confirmed performer, Aguilera will perform at the 19th annual MTV Movie Awards on Sunday, June 6th. She’ll perform her new single, “Not Myself Tonight.”

If her jaw-dropping new video is any clue of what to expect, they can expect Aguilera to get even more “Dirrty” than they’ve seen her before. The video features her in different fetish gear and flesh-baring outfits and, as described in the lyrics, kissing boys and girls.

Aguilera previously took the MTV Movie Awards stage back in 2006, where she performed her single “Ain’t No Other Man” and in 2001, joining Pink, Lil’ Kim, and Mya for “Lady Marmalade.”

“MTV has always been a supporter of my music and my career and I am so excited to perform once again on the Movie Awards,” said Aguilera. “My performance comes just days before the release of my album ‘Bionic.’”

“Bionic,” which hits stores June 8th, features collaborations with artists like Sia, Linda Perry, Le Tigre, Ladytron, Tricky Stewart, and more. It’s her first studio album since 2006’s “Back to Basics.”
